What a great week at Emerald Crossing VBS! Thank you to the over 60 volunteers who made it such a special week for the 151 kids who came! Wow! We had a week of journeying through Ireland, learning about the shepherd-king David, and the Good Shepherd, Jesus! Continue to pray that the kids who were here will seek the Good Shepherd to guide them, and that in any situation, good or bad, they will know that Jesus is always with them.

Scripture for Q and A #2

Lk. 24:46-47 He told them, “This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

1 John 1:10 If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word is not in us.

Romans 3:9-10 What shall we conclude then? Do we have any advantage? Not at all! For we have already made the charge that Jews and Gentiles alike are all under the power of sin.

1 Peter 2:9-10 But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. Once you were not a people, but now you are the people of God; once you had not received mercy, but now you have received mercy.

Acts 4:12 Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”

Romans 12:1-2 Therefore, I urge you brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy to offer you bodies a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God, this is your true and proper worship.  Do not conform any longer to the patterns of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind—then you will be able to test and approve his will, his good, pleasing and perfect will.
