•Pam Foster, Bob Dreke’s sister (coping with Huntington’s disease)

•Tanner Lincecum (Pray that Tanner’s shunt will continue to work effectively)

•Bonita Schwan, Norma Jansma’s daughter (serious health conditions and side effects from previous cancer surgeries)

•Lambert Van Olst (receiving treatments for leukemia)

•Andrew Perry, Anita & Curt Dieren’s brother-in-law (continue to pray for the remaining blood clots to dissolve)

•Karen De Noble, David De Noble’s mother (has been diagnosed with cancer; please pray for comfort as Karen goes through chemotherapy treatments)

•Graham Johnson, great grandson of Don & Doris Calkins (is now 2 lb. 11 oz; family is grateful for prayers)

•Carol Groen (coping with lower back problems)

•Thomas Bouwman, Tom & Sheryl Bouwman’s son (continues to experience some improvement; is now working on another round of physical therapy goals)

•Danny Bolerjack, Danielle Bouwman’s father (recovering from a stroke)

•Tony Schoneveld, Jessica Harman’s grandfather (has stage 4 COPD).

•Phyllis Te Slaa (see update below)

•Missy Perkins (recovering from surgery; currently at the Rock Rapids Health Center)

•Greyson Austin (has started Humira injections every 2 weeks; pray for Greyson’s internal healing)

•Denise Roskam (pray that Denise’s cancer treatments will go well and be effective)

•Vicky Van Houten, Judy Netten’s sister (diagnosed with ovarian cancer; recovering from recent surgery)

•Roberta Flier (recovering at home from total shoulder surgery on September 18)

*Your prayers are also requested for the following individuals who are coping with cancer:Melissa Moser (Kathy Moser’s daughter-in-law), Marilyn Kuyper (Ethanie Pulscher’s aunt), Arlene Sterler (Robbie Korthals’ mother), and Jeremy Hespen, Merlin & Jackie Groen’s nephew (recently diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma).

A Note of Praise! – Phyllis Te Slaa has been discharged from the Rock Rapids Health Center after 2 months of receiving physical therapy following her knee replacement surgery in July.Phyllis was able to return home, and we are thankful for her recovery.

Sympathy:We wish to extend our sympathy to Deb and Dave Markus on the death of Deb’s mother, Jean Evelyn (Graves) Jankord, on Wednesday, September 18.Jean’s funeral will be held on Monday, September 23, at Hyke Funeral Home in Redfield, South Dakota.

Thank You for all your prayers, the visits, food, and well wishes during and following Phyllis’s surgery as well as the visits during her stay in the nursing home for rehab.All was much appreciated. ~ Al & Phyllis Te Slaa

Bell Choir:Looking for a new hobby during Wednesday night activities?Come join bell choir!While your child is learning about youth club our youth group, come join us for an hour of enriching music and fun.No experience needed, we will teach you!Contact Erica Groen for more information.

5th Sunday PM Services:Faith Baptist Church will be hosting this month's Fifth Sunday Service. Please join us September 29 at 7:00 p.m. for an evening of music and meditation based upon Psalm 139.Light refreshments to follow the service.

Church Directory:We are updating our church photo directory.Photography dates are Oct 8-12 (Tue-Sat) and Oct 22-23 (Tues-Wed).Please note that we have added 3 additional photography dates (Oct 8, 22, 23). Volunteers Needed to Help with Church Directory:We need volunteers to assist during the photography sessions (greet people, check-in, etc.).If you are willing to volunteer a couple hours of your time, please contact Eric and Amy Hartter, Brent Hofmeyer, Matt Kock or Sharon Postma.Thank you!

Adult Small Group Study:Please join us for a new bible study being offered this fall.We will be going through “Why I Believe,” by Chip Ingram.This is an apologetic series that looks at our faith’s big questions.What happens when we die?Can miracles be explained?Is there really a God? Ingram shares answers systematically and with logical research.Please join us as we look into this eight week study.Our group will meet after worship service during Sunday school in room 200, starting September 29th.If you are interested please contact Joe Vander Zee (712.400.9558).There is a study guide to purchase for $7.Joe will arrange a purchase of these guides, so please contact him if you are interested.

Our Operation Christmas Child supply drive is underway! Though our packing party isn’t until November, now is a great time to gather supplies with the Back to School sales. There is a sign-up sheet in the gathering space and a box under the coat racks to drop off your supplies. If you have any questions, please talk to Amy Schulte. Thanks!
