  • Jennifer Klarenbeek (scheduled for back surgery on June 25)

  • Andrew Perry, Anita & Curt Dieren’s brother-in-law (pray for Andrew’s blood clots to dissolve),

•Brock Klarenbeek (recovering from recent chest surgery)

•Harriet Hoff (recovering from foot surgery; currently a resident at the Rock Rapids Health Center)

•Carter Krull (pray for recovery following surgery on June 5 to repair Carter’s broken arm)

•Arietta Beyenhof (pray for continued healing of Arietta’s knee following surgery)

•Mykenah Horstman (pray for the plans to get Mykenah fitted for a brace that she can wear at night)

•Pam Foster, Bob Dreke’s sister (coping with Huntington’s disease)

•Tanner Lincecum (pray for relief from headaches and for Tanner’s doctors to have wisdom in caring for him)

•Bonita Schwan, Norma Jansma’s daughter (serious health conditions and side effects from previous cancer surgeries)

•Thomas Bouwman, Tom & Sheryl Bouwman’s son (has experienced some improvement; has recently met his physical therapy goals)

•Lena Jolee Olivier, Marilyn & Bill Mammenga’s infant granddaughter (continues at Sanford NICU in Sioux Falls; pray for continued growth and development)

•Zucker Freerks, Sara & Justin Groen’s nephew (pray for Zucker to maintain good health during the summer months)

•Greyson Austin, Marlene Mellema’s grandson/Meredith & Joe Vander Zee’s nephew (pray for decrease in prednisone & surgery possibly this fall)

•Tony Schoneveld, Jessica Harman’s grandfather (has stage 4 COPD).

Sympathy:We wish to express our sympathy to Henry Zoet and family on the death of Wava Zoet on June 17.Wava’s funeral was held yesterday at Hartquest Funeral Home in Luverne, MN.

Congratulations:Matt & Danielle Bouwman on the birth of Wren Anna on Sunday, June 16, 2019.

Congratulations to McKenzie Leuthold and Dalton Skidmore who were united in marriage Friday, June 21 at Frist Reformed Church.

Announcement:On Sunday, June 9 it was announced that a “target” date for Pastor Dan and Sue’s “retirement” will be late spring of 2021.The plan is to form a search committee who will write and create a church profile of our congregation; inform the denomination of our intent to call a lead/senior pastor; and begin the search process.Once God leads us to that person and a call is accepted Pastor Dan will become a “transition” pastor and help the new senior pastor acclimate to his/her role for 3-6 months.The length of this transition will depend on the age and experience of the new pastor.

Communion:Next Sunday we will celebrate Holy Communion as a congregation

5th Sunday Service will be at Peace Lutheran Church on June 30th at 7:00 pm.The Hwy 9 singers will perform some numbers (you may have heard them at the fair).And, they will lead us in singing some familiar hymns.Ice cream and snacks will be served during time for fellowship after the service.
