Prayers:

•Pam Foster, Bob Dreke’s sister (coping with Huntington’s disease)

•Tanner Lincecum (pray that Tanner’s shunt will continue to work effectively)

•Lambert Van Olst (is currently in remission with leukemia)

•Karen De Noble, David De Noble’s mother (has been diagnosed with cancer; please pray for comfort as Karen goes through chemotherapy treatments)

•Carol Groen (continues to be evaluated at Mayo Clinic regarding her lower back problems)

•Thomas Bouwman, Tom & Sheryl Bouwman’s son (continues to make progress in physical therapy)

•Greyson Austin (doing well with the Humira injection every 2 weeks)

•Ray Schram, Jeff Schram’s father (continues to battle cancer; will meet with his doctor soon to discuss treatment options)

•Lyle Kahl (scheduled for surgery at U. of Minnesota on April 13)

•Anita Dieren (recovering at home from shoulder surgery on April 1)

•John Ymker, Jody Vande Weerd’s brother (recovering at home following open heart surgery on March 5)

•Garlene Mulder (see prayer update below)

•Barb Hoogendoorn (currently undergoing heart-related tests)

•Dale Klarenbeek (took a fall at work; is now home and recovering from broken ribs)

•David Groen (currently hospitalized at Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls with pneumonia and an overwhelming infection in his body)

*Your prayers are also requested for the following individuals who are coping with cancer:Melissa Moser (Kathy Moser’s daughter-in-law), Marilyn Kuyper (Ethanie Pulscher’s aunt; continues to be treated for cancer and is experiencing a lot of fatigue), Arlene Sterler, Robbie Korthals’ mother (Arlene’s cancer has moved to her lungs; pray for Arlene’s doctors to have wisdom as they care for her), Trish Lombard, Tara Bouwman’s mother (recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer), and Vicki Van Houten, Judy Netten’s sister (is tolerating her chemotherapy treatments well).

Prayer Update:Garlene Mulder was discharged from the Rock Rapids Health Center and was able to return to Premier Estates on March 31.

From Pastor Dan:The Covid-19 virus has taken so much out of our lives but we are not going to let it take away our celebration of Holy Week.Holy Week begins today, April 5 with Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday is April 9, Good Friday, April 10 and Easter, April 12.See below for the live stream services we will offer.

MAUNDY THURSDAY WORSHIP SERVICE:LIVE STREAMED ON APRIL 9 AT 7:00PM.Our plan is to have a short service that will include Holy Communion.We are asking you to have on hand bread and juice for yourself to partake at the appropriate time in the service.Even as we are “apart” we can be together to remember the body and blood broken and shed for us.

EASTER MORNING WORSHIP:We are planning on a Sunday morning live streamed worship service on Easter, April 12 at 9:30AM.

CONSISTORY met last Tuesday night, part in person and part on Zoom conference call.The church profile for the search process was approved along with a job description for a part time Worship and Music Leader.Pastor Dan and Sue are now on Medicare with the church paying the supplement insurance.We are solvent because of the giving that is still taking place.Needs that exist and may emerge were discussed.
