  • Slate Stuerman, infant son of Scott & Kayla Stuerman (see prayer update below)
  • Talen Anderson (pray for recovery from hernia surgery on August 18)

*Your prayers are also requested for the following individuals who are coping with cancer:  Melissa Moser, (Kathy Moser’s daughter-in-law), Marilyn Kuyper (Ethanie Pulscher’s aunt; continues to be treated for cancer and is experiencing a lot of fatigue), Arlene Sterler, Robbie Korthals’ mother (Arlene’s cancer has moved to her lungs; pray for Arlene’s doctors to have wisdom as they care for her), Trish Lombard, Tara Bouwman’s mother (recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer), Vicki Van Houten, Judy Netten’s sister (Vicki has finished her chemotherapy treatment; she is now getting a preventive treatment that will finish in November), and Gail Hartter, Eric Hartter’s mother (has had a reoccurrence of cancer).

Prayer Update:  Slate Stuerman was discharged from the NICU at Avera Medical Center in Sioux Falls on Friday, October 2.  He is home with his family and is doing well.

Prayer Update:  Greyson Austin had a follow-up appointment at Mayo this past Monday.   All of his blood work looked very good, and the scope that they did showed no signs of activity that would be a cause for alarm.  More good news is that the doctor said if Greyson were to get COVID 19 he would not necessarily have to stop the Humira injections that he has been getting.   That was a big relief to us as we were concerned that if he did get the virus, he would have to stop the injections which could lead to his body rejecting the drug when it was resumed.

Thank you, First Reformed Church, for your faithful prayers these past few years for Grey.  We have felt God’s hand in all of this.  Grey is now a senior in high school who has a strong faith and is loving life. –Mike & Carrie Austin
