Announcements for 12-5-21

~Our annual congregational meeting was held during the worship service last Sunday, November 21st. Elected to the office of Elder were: Shari Kastein and Dan Kruse. Elected to the office of Deacon were: Mike Klarenbeek, Lonn Kellenberger and Lance Iwen.

~We are looking for volunteers to make prayer shawls.  We would like to donate several shawls to the “Game Plan for Hope” Ministry. Please contact Barb Folkens (712-470-5948) for more information and yarn.  Thank you in advance for blessing families.

Thank you!! We want to thank everyone who brought pies, salads, delivered meals and worked at the Thanksgiving dinner your help is greatly appreciated! This meal blessed over 165 people!  ~ Nettie and Leona

    *There are those whose lives death cannot diminish. Their love radiates forever in the hearts of family and friends. We felt that love in your thoughtfulness. Thank you so much! ~ Kyle Dreke Family

*A special thank you to the decorating committee for making our church look so festive. We are blessed to have all of you! 

*Girls League will be selling individually wrapped cinnamon rolls and serving coffee on Sunday the 12th of December at common ground and coffee break! 

~First Reformed Church will be having a float entry in the Rock Rapids Parade of Lights next Thursday evening Dec. 9. We are looking for singers of ALL AGES to join us in singing Christmas hymns. There will be a hay rack with hay bales to sit on and sheet music provided. It's looking to be a balmy 40 degrees that evening!  ~Call or text Jen Kock if you want to join us on the float!! 605-321-1084

*The December Bridge is now available in the holder next to the mailboxes*

    ~~ We will not be putting the Focus on the Family brochure in the mailboxes anymore. If you would like a copy, you can pick one up in the holder next to the mailboxes. Thanks 

Children’s Bulletins are now available by the regular bulletins each week. The bulletin goes according to the scripture for the week and there will be one for 3+ and one for 7+. 

~Sunday’s bulletin will now be available via your phone. Just scan the QR code on the bulletin stands or the welcome                   center.

*Offering will be collected in the back of the church until further notice*                                                  **Please Call Church Office to reserve Meeting Rooms**

Church Office Hours:  Monday, Wednesday and Thursday 9am-1pm and Friday from 9-12

*Bulletin announcement deadline is now Thursdays at 11am, call, email or drop off at the church office *

~December 8: 5-5:30 SS kids practice with 3 choirs for special music on Sunday the 12th of Dec. 

~December 12: 8:30am have your child to sanctuary to practice with 3 choirs and will sing during worship.

~December 22: No Club 512

~December 29: No Club 512

~January 2: No Sunday School * no cherub choir during worship*

~January 5: No Club 512
