Thanks to all who have sent prayers, cards, gifts, kind words, etc. Wayne will begin his third treatment on June 2nd.  Then he will have three more after that.  Hopefully in August the treatment plan will be finished and the cancer will be eliminated.   We appreciate your support and ask that you continue to pray that the treatment will be successful and that his body will tolerate the treatment. ~ Wayne and Geneva Grooters

Announcement: Our cable channel 12 worship service will now begin at 5:15pm and run until 6:45pm. 

Summer Special Music: Musicians and Non-musicians wanted for Special Music for summer.  You can sing, play an instrument, dance, act, or share your song testimony.  A song testimony is telling us how God spoke through a song to you, what a song means to you, or how God used a song in your life.  Sign up in the gathering space or contact Valerie Lenderink, frcmusic@premieronline.net.

MEMBERSHIP CLASS:  If you are interested in becoming a member of our congregation, please plan to attend our Membership Class on June 27. Please contact Cheryl Van Beek for more details or to sign up. Deadline for registration is June 1.

*Mark your calendars! VBS will be June 8-10, 2021 (Tuesday – Thursday). Online registration is available at https://rockrapids.myanswers.com/mystery-island/  We would love to have you join us, whether a child or adult volunteer! Please talk to Amy Schulte about positions available.

~The COLORS for 2021 VBS are: Tuesday June 8: Blue, Wednesday June 9: Red, Thursday June 10: Purple. So plan to wear the appropriate color for that day (not required, just for fun).

~ MYSTERY ISLAND VBS IS IN NEED OF SUPPLIES:  A signup sheet will be in the gathering space, please consider helping out and signing up to donate. Please have your supplies to the church by Sunday the 6^th of June. Thanks

~We want to cover our week at Mystery Island in prayer. Jen Kock will be leading prayer in the prayer chapel on Tuesday and Wednesday at 9 am and noon and again on Thursday at 9 am. If you are interested in joining Jen in covering our children and VBS staff in prayer, please contact Jen or Amy Schulte.

REGISTER FOR A HIGH SCHOOL EXPERIENCE OF A LIFE TIME! Tri-State Teens Encounter Christ (TEC) is accepting applications for the upcoming weekend at the First Reformed Church in Rock Rapids, Iowa. TEC is an interdenominational three, day Christian retreat designed to help high schoolers learn more about their faith and their community. The next TEC is June 25-27, 2021. Scholarships are available upon request.

~Hope Haven will be holding its Annual Fishing Benefit at Lake Francis Case, Ft. Randall Dam on Friday June4, 2021. Registration fee is $60 which includes to-go meal, entry gift, and eligibility for weigh-in prize categories. All proceeds will benefit Hope Haven. Registration is due by June 3. HERITAGE DAYS COMMUNITY CHURCH SERVICE:  The Heritage Days Community Church service will be held Sunday, June 20^th at Island Park at the shelter house by the swimming pool at 10:30 am.  Please bring your lawn chairs and enjoy worship with Pastor Keith Vik delivering the message.  Music will be provided by Anna Van Aartsen and Anna Warntjes, accompanied by Marilee Schneusner on the clavi nova.  The offering received that morning will be used for Council of Churches expenses which include a helping hand to transients, Baccalaureate service expenses, Heritage Days church service expenses and local benevolence donations as deemed necessary. In case of rain, the alternate location for the service is the First Reformed Church.
