Announcements for 5-28-23 

 

Congratulations and Welcome to our new Youth Director, Kaitlin Buntjer. We are thankful and excited for Kaitlin and her family to join us!

 

Door Greeters - The Welcome Team committee is excited to announce that we will be having greeters at our 3 main entrances each Sunday starting in June. This would be the north door by the elevator, south door by the mailboxes, and our southeast door. We would like to have many of you involved and helping out. If you are interested in being a greeter, please sign up on the sign-up sheet in the gathering area or contact the church office.  Thank you!

  

VBS plans are well underway! We are still in need of 1 person to work in the kitchen from 9a-1p on Thursday. Also, please check the Kitchen Supply list in the gathering space if you are interested in bringing items for lunches. On Friday, June 9th we will have a program at 11:30 am with lunch to follow. All are welcome to attend.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD: Thanks so much for participating in OCC this past fall.  The numbers are in and the numbers are up:  10,599,907 shoebox gifts packed and donated worldwide in 2022!  That number represents the number of children who will hear the Good News of Jesus Christ, and have opportunities to study what it means to be His disciples through The Greatest Journey lessons.

This year the 200 millionth shoebox gift (since OCC began in 1993) was given to a young girl in Ukraine.  Please continue to pray for all these children, that they would come to know Jesus as their friend and Savior, and be equipped to boldly share His love with families, friends, and communities.

 

Worship at Inspiration Hills:  We are going to worship at Inspiration Hills on July 9th at 10:30 with Rods and Rides, followed by lunch and various camp activities.  Please sign up at the Welcome Center or on the Church Center app if you plan to attend.  Please bring your lawn chairs, swimming suits, towels, and a free will donation for lunch.

 

The May Bridge is now available in the clear boxes next to the mailboxes. 

Church office hours: 9-1 Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Friday 9-12.

*Bulletin announcements need to be to the office by Thursday at 9am for the Sunday bulletin
