Announcements for 2-5-23     

 In honor of Bob and Barb Dreke’s 52nd wedding anniversary, they will be serving cake following worship next Sunday the 12th of February. Happy Anniversary! 

 

 Sunday, February 26 at 11:30 am is FRC next potluck meal.  All are invited.  Please bring a hot or cold dish to share! Drink and tableware will be provided. We need 12-15 people to help with set-up or clean-up. If you are available to help, please contact Sharon Postma.

Reminder: Pick up your empty baby bottle today and bring it back full of change to support the Cherish House. The filled bottles must be returned by next Sunday February 12th. Thank you!

 

Music Survey Team: join the Music Survey Team and have a say in what music we use in worship!  Short surveys will be emailed once every few months or so.  Contact Valerie Lenderink to sign up.  frcmusic@premieronline.net

 

Ash Wednesday: drop by the Prayer Chapel on Wednesday, February 22 between 7:30 and 9:00 am for prayer and imposition of ashes.

 

Adult Sunday School: join us for the spring Adult Sunday school, March 2-April 30.  We will watch and discuss The Chosen, season 1, the first-ever multi-series TV show of the life of Christ.  We will watch it together on Thursdays at 9:30 am starting March 2nd in the sanctuary.  If that doesn't work for you, please watch it on your own time!  After church on Sundays, we will discuss each episode.  Make sure to bring your bible! Nursery will be available on Sundays.  To watch it yourself simply download The Chosen app on your smart phone or smart TV for free!

 

Prison Ministry Opportunity: Join us for worship with Cornerstone Prison Church Friday, March 31.  You must be 18 years or older.  You must complete a waiver and background check and return to Valerie Lenderink by Sunday, March 5.  Questions, ask Valerie Lenderink, frcmusic@premieronline.net 314-637-8383.

What is Rocky Mountain High?

Rocky Mountain High is a Youth Retreat for 9-12th students that is hosted by the Synod of the Heartland.

This event is held every 3 years in Estes Park, Colorado.  This year the dates are July 22-26 (we realize this is part of “dead-week”, we would love to work around your family’s vacation plans as needed).  We highly encourage all high school students to attend! Please see the registration information below for more details.  The out- of- pocket cost per student is $200 (there are scholarships available).  We will fundraise the remaining cost.  Please contact Cheryl Van Beek if you have any questions.

Registration is open for Inspiration Hills Bible camp! 2023 SUMMER CAMP THEME: LIVING WATER from John 7: 37-38 “On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out, “If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the scripture has said, “Out of his heart will flow rivers or living water.” Our Hope and prayer is that everyone who comes to camp this summer comes to truly know what it means for us to come take a drink of the sustaining source of Living Water.
