The following have been nominated for the positions of Elder and Deacon for 2022:  

Elder nominees: Chris Wright, Rodney VandenTop, Ken Leuthold and Sharon Postma   Deacon nominees: Deacon: Justin Groen, Evan Metzger, Rob Van Hofwegen, Joel Vis, Jerry Mulder, Daniel Moser, Tom Vander Lee, Mark Boender, and Shawn VanWyhe

*If anyone has evidence of any Biblical grounds that any of these persons should not be on Consistory please inform one of the Elders.

 Mark your calendar for November 27, 2022.  We will have our Annual Congregational Meeting that morning. At the annual meetingthe slate of nominees is placed into a Bible.  Following a time of prayer for the new members to be selected, each retiring Elder or Deacon will draw a name from the Bible to be read to the congregation.  

TODAY IS THE COUNCIL OF CHURCHES SPECIAL EVENT - A final reminder to every student and adult to make an effort to attend the RR Council of Churches special event today.  Every day people of all ages are dying from drug overdoses.  Our guest speaker, Angela Kennecke, will be sharing her story about opioid addiction at the CL High School Auditorium at 4:00 PM this afternoon.  There is NO ADMISSION FEE.  A free-will offering will be taken to further the ministry of the Rock Rapids Council of Churches.

You’re invited to our 20th Annual Community Thanksgiving Meal. Thursday, November 24th @ Noon at First Reformed Church of Rock Rapids. Meals are available in-person, for delivery, or to-go. Rides will be available for those in need. Please RSVP by November 18 by calling the Chamber office (712)472-3456, or First Reformed Church (712)472-3729 or online at bit.ly/RRCommThanksgiving. Planning has begun for our Operation Christmas Child packing party, which will be this Wednesday November 9th @ 6pm. There is a sign-up sheet in the gathering space with the supplies needed to make this event a success.
