Announcements for 1-16-22 

Worship Night: Please join us Sunday, January 23 at 7:00pm for a night of worship and testimonies from our own congregation.

ADULT CHOIR: We will be practicing today in the choir room for our second half of the year.  Anyone that loves music, please come and share your talents with us.  We only sing once a month, and we will do an Easter cantata.  Please come join us!  Thank you!  Judy Gacke

Grace Circle: Will meet Tuesday, January 18th at Marlene Mellemas condo @ 6:30pm. We will listen to chapter 2 of “Calm My Anxious Heart” and then discuss. * Please bring ketchup and bbq sauce for Atlas. See you there!

~Interested in supporting the Midweek Meal with groceries? Please check the sign-up sheet in the gathering space for items needed. If you have any questions, please contact Amy Schulte at 712.470.4883. Thank you!

Church Doors:  Due to unforeseen circumstances our church doors will be locked every night until further notice, except south door, that will be unlocked 24/7, but the wheelchair access will be non-functional. So, if you come to the church after hours please use the south entrance. Thank you for your understanding!

MEMBERSHIP RETREAT:  If you are interested in learning more about the First Reformed Church and/or wanting to join by Profession of Faith, we are hosting a membership retreat on Sunday January 23, noon-4pm.  Please contact Cheryl Van Beek (712-470-0278 or frccheryl@premieronline.net) for more information or to reserve your spot.

ATTENTION:   The Rock Rapids Council of Churches is hosting a 5th Sunday Service on Sunday, January 30th at 5 pm at the Central Lyon High School Auditorium.  Our guest will be Dr. Micah Parker, a Christian Motivational speaker.   His topic will be “Sexuality and Profanity; How Our Culture Tricks Us”.  Due to the subject, all students (7th grade and up) and all parents and adults are encouraged to attend.  We are constantly influenced by the world around us.  Dr. Parker will share what God says with humor and humility.  Don’t miss this opportunity.  There is NO charge to attend.  A freewill offering will be taken to further the ministry of the RR Council of Churches.  For more information about Dr. Parker, go to www.trustguyministries.com.

Children’s Bulletins are now available by the regular bulletins each week. The bulletin goes according to the scripture for the week and there will be one for 3+ and one for 7+. 

 

~Sunday’s bulletin will now be available via your phone. Just scan the QR code on the bulletin stands or the welcome center.
