Open Hymn Sing: All are welcome to join the Northwestern College A Cappella Choir after church on 4/11 in the sanctuary for an open hymn sing. Bring your favorite hymn and enjoy making music with some talented musicians.
YOUTH NEWS:
EASTER BAGS- We are collecting backpacks and duffle bags for our friends at SYS in Magnolia. Here’s a message from their director: “‼️ HELP ‼️ I would like all the boys to have an Easter basket BUT instead of a basket, I would like them to receive a backpack, suitcase, duffel bag, etc. Most of our boys use trash bags to haul their personal items around from the hospital, foster homes, placements, JDC, etc. I hope all boys that have upcoming discharges can leave with their items in some sort of bag, that’s not a trash bag. Their items are not trash, for some it’s all they have. PLEASE let me know if you have any gently used bags, suitcases, backpacks that you are looking to part ways with. ANYTHING helps.”
Gary Van Wyhe is overseeing this project! For more information please contact Gary. There is also a shopping cart by the church mailboxes for your donations of bags. THANK YOU!
**This morning our 2nd graders will be presenting their memory work. Next week, our 3 & 4 year old and Preschool classes will recite their memory work. Parents: please have your children to their classroom by 9:15 AM. When they are finished, the children will join their families for the remainder of worship. Thank you!
** The end of the year All Church Night at Air Madness is scheduled for Wednesday, April 21st from 7-8 PM. Signed waivers and $5/jumper need to be turned in to Amy Schulte or the church office no later than Sunday, April 11th. Families attending will be in charge of their own transportation. Every jumper will need Air Madness socks. If you don’t already have a pair, they will be available for purchase for $3. Please plan to arrive a few minutes early so we can start jumping right at 7 PM.
