The following have been nominated for the positions of Elder and Deacon for 2023:

Deacon nominees: Eric Hartter, Evan Metzger, Jordan Menning, Jerry Mulder, Shawn Van Wyhe, Lucas Bouwman
*If anyone has evidence of any Biblical grounds that any of these persons should not be on Consistory, please inform one of the Elders.
Mark your calendar for November 12, 2023 (next Sunday). We will have our Annual Congregational Meeting that morning. At the annual meeting, the slate of nominees is placed into a Bible. Following a time of prayer for the new members to be selected, each retiring Elder or Deacon will draw a name from the Bible to be read to the congregation.

Volunteers Needed: See the insert in the bulletin for job descriptions. The volunteer fair will be open for sign ups on November, 12 (next Sunday). Thanksgiving meal: First Reformed Church will be hosting a Thanksgiving Meal on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 23rd. If you are interested in joining us or would like a meal delivered, please contact the church office 712-472-3729 or sign up at the gathering space welcome center. Rides will be available as well. RSVP’s are due on November 17, 2023. We are also in need of volunteers ,please sign up at the welcome center if you are willing to.
~RESGEN Men's Summit 2024 is a half-day conference with the mission of encouraging men, ages 17 and up, to grow and fulfill their purpose as leaders, husbands, fathers, and Christ-followers. The theme for this year's event is 'Being a Man of Courage' and features five dynamic sessions, comedy, free resources, and snacks throughout the day.
Cost is $35. Saturday, February 3 from 8 AM-1:30PM at Central Church in Sioux Falls, SD. Register online at resgen.org or sign up at the welcome center. Contact Rob Van Hofwegen for more details.
