Thank you to everyone who donated unused Christian Literature in the past weeks. Our donations have been taken to a drop off site at the Sioux Center First Reformed Church. All of the material collected in Sioux Center was taken to the International Christian Literature Distributors in Minneapolis. ICLD, which is run completely by volunteers, will send our donations throughout the world to spread God’s word. We will continue to have a box under the south coat rack for any donations you may have throughout the coming year. Thanks again.

CARE CENTER WORSHIP SERVICES are conducted by First Reformed Church this afternoon and volunteers are welcome to help gather residents and assist them with their hymn books. We begin at 3:15 PM at the Health Care Center and 4:00PM at Lyon Manor.

Adult Bible Study: Joe VZ will be leading a small group Bible study around stewardship, leadership and Christian business. The study he plans to go through is called “Our Great Exchange”. Please see the description below.

*Why would an all knowing God call us to be stewards of his creation? Why are we granted such a high calling as his stewards? In God’s economy, we indeed play a profound role. With the help of our guide, Pastor Jim Liske, along with seven inspiring stories and key biblical insights, Our Great Exchange takes us on a journey to explore his purposes for our stewardship of all that he created. Ultimately, stewardship is about doing what God calls each of us to do, so we can become the people he created us to be.

Adult Choir – If you love music and love to sing, please join us in the choir room during the Sunday School hour on September 16. We will start off the fall season and hope to have a great year sharing your talents. We will be singing on September 30 and then on the 4th Sunday thereafter. Please come and check us out. I think you will be blessed by the time spent together in singing praises to God and his glory. We will start on the Christmas cantata soon to avoid additional practice times. Thank you

Looking Ahead: Back-to-School sales are in full swing which makes it the perfect time to purchase Operation Christmas Child shoebox supplies! There is a sign-up sheet on the table in the gathering space with a list of needed items for our packing party on November 14th. A small shoebox gift can change the heart of one child and in turn an entire family or even village for Christ. One box = and eternal impact! Please consider contributing to this event. Thank you!
