Prayer Update:Tanner has experienced some progress as his morning headaches are occasional, and they improve with Tanner being active.Tanner has a follow up appointment at Mayo on September 11.Please pray that his shunt will continue to work well.

Sympathy:We wish to extend our sympathy to Karyn and Clarence Boer and their family on the death of Karyn’s sister Phydelis Hamann, on Thursday, August 29.Phydelis’ funeral was held on September 3 at St John Lutheran Church in Luverne.We wish to extend our sympathy to Trudy and Brad Beyenhof on the death of Trudy’s father, Albert J. Kracht, on August 28.Albert’s funeral was held on Tuesday, September 3 at Jurrens Funeral Home.

Sympathy:Our sympathy is extended to JoAnn Douglas and her family on the death of her son-in-law, Gregory Smith, on Thursday, August 29, in Rapid City, SD.A Celebration of Life is scheduled for Saturday, September 21, 2019 from 1:00-3:00 pm at Pactola Lake Campground near Silver City, SD.We extend our sympathy also to Pam and Tom Tille and their family on the death of Pam’s father, Harold Kix, on Wednesday, September 4, 2019.Harold’s funeral was held yesterday (September 7) here at First Reformed Church.

Church Directory:It’s time to update our church photo directory!Our last photo directory was printed in 2015. We have new families, there have been weddings, babies, and kids who are young adults now. We’re changing and a new photo directory will help us capture these changes.Every family photographed receives a complimentary printed directory, access to our mobile directory and an 8x10 portrait. Photography dates are Oct 9-11 (Wed-Fri) 2-9 pm; Oct 12 (Sat) 10am – 5pm.The photography and portrait viewing will take place at our church with no sitting fee.You will have an opportunity to purchase additional portraits on the day of your portrait session. You should receive your pictures around the beginning of December.Your photography session will take about an hour, during which time you will check-in, be photographed and view your portraits. Adult Small Group Study:Please join us for a new bible study being offered this fall.We will be going through “Why I Believe,” by Chip Ingram.This is an apologetic series that looks at our faith’s big questions.What happens when we die?Can miracles be explained?Is there really a God? Our Operation Christmas Child supply drive is underway! Though our packing party isn’t until November, now is a great time to gather supplies with the Back to School sales.
