Prayers:

•Pam Foster, Bob Dreke’s sister (coping with Huntington’s disease)

•Tanner Lincecum (pray that Tanner’s shunt will continue to work effectively)

•Lambert Van Olst (is currently in remission with leukemia)

•Karen De Noble, David De Noble’s mother (has been diagnosed with cancer; please pray for comfort as Karen goes through chemotherapy treatments)

•Carol Groen (continues to be evaluated at Mayo Clinic regarding her lower back problems)

•Thomas Bouwman, Tom & Sheryl Bouwman’s son (continues to make progress in physical therapy)

•Greyson Austin (doing well with the Humira injection every 2 weeks)

•Ray Schram, Jeff Schram’s father (continues to battle cancer)

•Anita Dieren (surgeon recommended postponing heart surgery so that Anita’s shoulder can continue to heal)

•Bruce Hasche (had prostate surgery on May 20; now recovering at home)

•Lyle Kahl (is currently receiving chemotherapy)

•Jack Axsom, Ashley Schwartze’s grandfather (was discharged from the hospital and is recovering at home)

*Your prayers are also requested for the following individuals who are coping with cancer:Melissa Moser (Kathy Moser’s daughter-in-law), Marilyn Kuyper (Ethanie Pulscher’s aunt; continues to be treated for cancer and is experiencing a lot of fatigue), Arlene Sterler, Robbie Korthals’ mother (Arlene’s cancer has moved to her lungs; pray for Arlene’s doctors to have wisdom as they care for her), Trish Lombard, Tara Bouwman’s mother (recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer), and Vicki Van Houten, Judy Netten’s sister (is tolerating her chemotherapy treatments well).

To our Congregation:Gertie Feller, one of our oldest church members, died on June 6, 2020, in Grover Heights, Minnesota.Gertie’s funeral was held this past Thursday, June 11, at Jurrens Funeral Home in Rock Rapids.

SUNDAY WORSHIP SERVICES:

Bulletins are now provided.We ask that your give your offering as you exit so that the money is not laying exposed in the plates during the service. We will continue to usher people in and out.

The Task Force for re-entry from the COVID-19 pandemic will meet next Sunday, June 21 following the morning worship service in the Children’s Center.

Women’s Executive Committee Meeting will be held Monday, June 22 at 7 pm in 345.Please plan to attend.

Hope Haven’s 25th Annual Gospel Music Festival will be held in Central Park in Sioux Center, IA on Friday and Saturday, June 19 and 20, 2020.The Gospel Music Festival will provide great continuous music from 1:00 pm to 9:30 pm on Friday and from 11:30 am to 9:30 pm on Saturday.Currently 20 different groups from five states are scheduled to sing!The Gospel Music Festival is a benefit for Hope Haven and freewill offerings will be taken each day.A lunch stand will be open both days.In case of inclement weather, the Music Festival will be held at the Rec Center on the campus of Dordt College.

The Task Force has agreed to open up and allow small groups to meet for Bible Studies, Circles and other meetings. Social distancing should still be practiced by keeping group gatherings to small numbers depending on the room. We are asking that you call the church office to reserve a room. The rooms available include 345, the Children’s Center, and 107. We also ask that the tables, chairs and door handles be wiped down with wipes provided in the room. Please limit where you go in the building.

The Search Committee has posted the church profile on the Reformed Church in America’s website. They expect applications to be coming in which will be evaluated and discerned.

We the Ambassador board of Cornerstone Prison Church have decided NOT to have our Benefit Banquet which was rescheduled for June 29, 2020.Please continue to keep this church behind the walls of the South Dakota State Penitentiary in your prayers as well as in your giving.Thank you.
