•Pam Foster, Bob Dreke’s sister (coping with Huntington’s disease)

•Tanner Lincecum (pray that Tanner’s shunt will continue to work effectively)

•Lambert Van Olst (is currently in remission with leukemia)

•Karen De Noble, David De Noble’s mother (has been diagnosed with cancer; please pray for comfort as Karen goes through chemotherapy treatments)

•Carol Groen (continues to be evaluated at Mayo Clinic regarding her lower back problems)

•Thomas Bouwman, Tom & Sheryl Bouwman’s son (continues to make progress in physical therapy)

•Greyson Austin (doing well with the Humira injection every 2 weeks)

•Ray Schram, Jeff Schram’s father (continues to battle cancer)

•Anita Dieren (recovering at home from shoulder surgery)

•Karen Flier (recovering at home following eye surgery on May 7)

•Bruce Hasche (had prostate surgery on May 20; now recovering at home)

•Lyle Kahl (continues to recover from recent surgery; will start treatment soon)

•Dale Klarenbeek (was discharged from the hospital on May 16; now recovering at home)

•Jack Axsom, Ashley Schwartze’s grandfather (discharged from the hospital and is now receiving physical therapy at home)

*Your prayers are also requested for the following individuals who are coping with cancer:Melissa Moser (Kathy Moser’s daughter-in-law), Marilyn Kuyper (Ethanie Pulscher’s aunt; continues to be treated for cancer and is experiencing a lot of fatigue), Arlene Sterler, Robbie Korthals’ mother (Arlene’s cancer has moved to her lungs; pray for Arlene’s doctors to have wisdom as they care for her), Trish Lombard, Tara Bouwman’s mother (recently diagnosed with pancreatic cancer), and Vicki Van Houten, Judy Netten’s sister (is tolerating her chemotherapy treatments well).

Sympathy:We wish to extend our sympathy to the Dena Wildeman family upon Dena’s death on May 14.Due to mandated health care restrictions, Dena’s family will have services at a later date.

Thank You:We would like to thank everyone who prayed, supported us through texts, cards, and numerous other ways.We especially want to thank Mike & Shannon and family for taking care of our place while we were gone.Pastor Dan, Sue, Cheryl, and Diane Altman (our Pastoral Care Elder) for their kindness and support while Dale was hospitalized.We are privileged to belong to such a loving church family. ~ Dale & Cori Klarenbeek

CONGRATULATIONS! – We are pleased to share with you that Pastor Dan graduated with a Doctorate of Ministry degree at Sioux Falls Seminary last Wednesday, May 20.Pastor Dan worked diligently over the past 2+ years to attend his classes, write term papers, and to develop and complete a major research project.Our prayer is that Pastor Dan will be able to use his additional knowledge of ministry as he continues to serve our congregation.–First Reformed Church staff

Elders & Deacons:Consistory will meet on this Tuesday, May 26. We have not yet decided if we are meeting on Zoom or “live.”

Task Force Meeting:Task Force for reopening is meeting on Wednesday night, May 27, at 7:00 pm in the children’s center

Moved:Helen Overman has moved to Premier Estates. Her new address is:1510 S Carroll Street, Rock Rapids, IA 51246.Helen, we wish you well in your new place.

Hope Haven will be holding its Annual Fishing Benefit at Lake Francis Case, Ft. Randall Dam on Friday, June 5, 2020, rain or shine.Registration fee is $60 which includes entry gift and eligibility for weigh-in prize categories.Children under 16 are free.All proceeds will benefit Hope Haven Support Foundation.Registration is due by June 4.Participants should follow all social distancing guidelines as recommended by the state of South Dakota at the time of the event.For more information and to register, visit www.hopehaven.org/events or call Scott at (712) 476-2820.Come and enjoy a day of food, friends, fellowship, and fishing!
