Prayers:Your prayer support is appreciated for the following individuals and their special circumstances: Lezlee Benz (recovering at home following surgery), Missy (Michelle) Perkins (currently a resident at the Rock Rapids Health Center), Karen Reemts (recovering at home following bladder surgery), Stacy Dieren (recovering from colon surgery), Tanner Lincecum (pray that Tanner’s shunt will continue to be effective), Pam Foster, Bob Dreke’s sister (coping with Huntington’s Disease), Caden Wright (pray for healing and for Caden to regain his strength following his hospital stay), Mykenah Horstman (pray for the plans to get Mykenah fitted for a brace that she can wear at night), Gayle Wagenaar, Conrad and Audrey De Noble’s brother-in-law (recently diagnosed with acute leukemia), Greyson Austin, Marlene Mellema’s grandson/Meredith & Joe Vander Zee’s nephew (see update below), Jeremy Hespen, Merlin & Jackie Groen’s nephew (recently diagnosed with non-Hodgkins lymphoma), Zucker Freerks, Sara and Justin Groen’s nephew (recovering from aspiration pneumonia), Thomas Bouwman, Tom & Sheryl Bouwman’s son (diagnosed with myocarditis and is recovering at home), Tony Schoneveld, Jessica Harman’s grandfather (has stage 4 COPD), and Danny Bolerjack, Danielle Bouwman’s father (recovering from a stroke).

*Your prayers are also requested for the following individuals who are coping with cancer: Dave Kwikkel (Arnie and Donna Kwikkel’s son), Gail Hartter (Eric Hartter’s mother), Marilyn Kuyper (Ethanie Pulscher’s aunt), and Arlene Sterler (Robbie Korthals’ mother).

Update on Greyson Austin: Thank you so much for all of you who continue to pray for Greyson and for our family. We are glad to be home again after 10 days in Rochester. Greyson has autoimmune pancreatitis, which they are treating with steroids. He is responding well, and we are so glad that he is doing better. He is eating 3 meals a day for the first time in 11 weeks. After losing 30 lbs. over the last 11 weeks, he is finally taking in some much needed calories and is keeping the food down. We are grateful beyond measure for God’s mercy in this situation. The surgeon has moved Grey’s March 12 surgery to May 7, as he will need to be off his steroids before they operate. It sounds like he will be on steroids for 8 weeks. Prayers for continued improvement with eating and energy, along with prayers for healing of the j-pouch are appreciated. We are encouraged knowing that so many of you are praying and lifting Grey up by name before our Heavenly Father! ~ Mike and Carrie Austin, Marlene Mellema, and families

Greyson Austin’s address: If you would like to send Greyson an encouraging card or note, here is his home address: Greyson Austin, 1004 Westview Drive, Dell Rapids, SD 57022

Thank You Church Family – I want to thank you for helping me celebrate my 100th birthday! Your cards, calls & Well wishes mean so much to me and helped me to realize that even though I’m living four hours away, my true home in at my church with my family there. Thank you! Gertie Feller

Sympathy: We wish to extend our sympathy to Joyce Hommes and her family upon the death of her sister, Jane Baker Bosch on Saturday, Feb. 23. Her funeral was held this past Friday, March 1 at the Reformed Church of Steen.

Attention: We are being asked to not shake hands to prevent the spread of infections and the flu. We can still greet one another but in ways other than hand contact. ~ Thank you

Women’s Ministry Executive Committee meeting Monday, March 4 at 7:00 pm in room 200.

Midweek Activities: Children grades 1st – 6th grade are asked to bring a treat to share with their small group on Wednesday night. For example, Scott could bring Snickers.

We are looking for some ground beef for our upcoming Midweek Meals. If you are interested in donating some, please talk to Amy Schulte or Katie Boender. Thanks!

SPRING AHEAD! Don’t forget to turn your clocks ahead this weekend for Daylight Saving Time March 10, 2019.

Are you looking for support, understanding, and tools to deal with your grief from the loss of a family member or friend? GriefShare is coming! We will be offering this class here at FRC beginning on March 4, 2019. We will meet in the church Fellowship Hall from 6:45-8:45 p.m. Registration is $20 (scholarships are available). GriefShare features Biblical, Christ-centered teaching that focuses on grief topics associated with the death of a loved one. The DVD seminar includes nationally respected grief experts and real-life stories of people followed by a group discussion about what was viewed. The topic for the first week will be “Is This Normal?” Please contact Val or Sue at the church office (472-3729) for more information and/or to register for this class.

OVERSIZED OBJECTS IN MAILBOXES: Because the placing of oversized object in the mailboxes is becoming problematic in several ways, we need to find a creative way to share the gifts, materials, etc. with each other. If you have a helpful suggestion for an alternative system of sharing please email our secretary at frchurch@premieronline.net. Thanks
