Prayers:Your prayer support is appreciated for the following individuals and their special circumstances: Dennis Altman (recovering from knee replacement surgery), Tanner Lincecum (pray that Tanner’s shunt will continue to be effective), Mary Vermeer (currently at the Rock Rapids Health Center for therapy), Asher Menning (continue to pray about the blood clot in Asher’s right atrium), Pam Foster, Bob Dreke’s sister (coping with Huntington’s Disease), Mykenah Horstman (pray that Mykenah’s spinal cord will not re-tether), Twilla Hoekstra (recovering from surgery), Rosemary Harman (Steve Harman’s mother), Russell Carver, Rachelle Johnsen’s father (recovering from surgery), Greyson Austin, Marlene Mellema’s grandson/Meredith and Joe Vander Zee’s nephew (has returned home and is recovering from colon surgery), and Tony Schoneveld, Jessica Harman’s grandfather (has stage 4 COPD).

Your prayers are also requested for the following individuals who are coping with cancer: Marilyn Pulscher (Ethanie Pulscher’s aunt), Gail Hartter (Eric Hartter’s mother), Dave Kwikkel (Arnie and Donna Kwikkel’s son), and Arlene Sterler (Robbie Korthals’ mother).

A Note of Praise! Aubree Boender has been “cleared” by her doctor as her arm has completely healed. Dawn Vanden Top has recovered well from her surgery, and she has been able to return to work.

Sympathy: We extend our sympathy to John Hulshof and Todd Warntjes & his children, Mitchell, Anna, and Isaac on the death of Donna Hulshof on October 18. We pray for God’s peace to surround you during this time of sadness and loss. Funeral arrangements are pending.

Sympathy: We extend our Christian sympathy to Angie Jager and her family in loss of Angie’s grandma, Joyce Overocker of Spirit Lake.

Update on Greyson Austin: Greyson was dismissed form Mayo last Sunday, and able to return to his home at Dell Rapids, S.D. He will return on October 29th for a checkup with his surgeon. If all is healed well, he will return to Mayo on Dec. 6th so that his surgeon can perform the surgery to remove his rectum and attach the small intestine to the anus to be used as his colon. This is so that he can go normally with no exterior colostomy bag. We thank you for your many prayers, and ask that you continue to remember him. Greyson, though needing strengthening, has kept his “sunny” personality! God continues to be so good, and with us through it all. For this we give Him our heartfelt thanks and praise. ~ Marlene Mellema and families

Thank you for all the meaningful words, cards, meals and prayers before, during, and after my recovery from surgery. It is truly a blessing to have such a great church family. We appreciate everything! Dan Aeschliman and Dawn Vanden Top and family.
